The Uttara Sector 07 Jame Mosque was officially opened for prayers on 28 February 2025, marking a significant milestone for the residents of Uttara, Dhaka.
Developed as a contemporary urban mosque, the project reinterprets traditional Islamic elements through a refined modern architectural language. Situated on a compact urban site (approx. 3,150 sqft land plot), the G+3 structure stands as a prominent spiritual landmark within the dense city fabric.
The design features strong vertical masses anchored by a slender minaret symbolizing spiritual ascension. Layered volumes carefully organize the main prayer halls and community spaces. The façade incorporates repetitive arches, perforated screens, and recessed openings to create depth, shade, and rhythm in the streetscape. Subtle domes define sacred zones, while light stone-toned finishes enhance the building’s serene and dignified character.
With its inauguration, the mosque begins its role as both a place of worship and a civic anchor—offering a luminous, composed presence for the community day and night.
